Accommodation
Parvada Bungalows, a home away from home offers accommodation experience with a local traditional décor integrating modern amenities. All our rooms have beautiful views facing the south gola range and the reserve forest. Parvada Bungalows is among the few boutique resorts in Kumaon to be elderly friendly and wheelchair friendly allowing easy access to most facilities on the estate.
Vast terraces, antique furniture mingling with contemporary, massive glass windows, breathtaking views of the landscape and high ceiling rooms styled in minimalistic decor ensures serenity throughout your stay.
In the southern part of the VS Fruittree Estate, we have one villa, the Wild Fig Villa. Three cottages are located in the Northern part of our estate. Our villa and cottages are provided with solar water heaters for the bathrooms and solar back up in case of any outages. We use fresh spring water from a “srot” flowing adjoining our estate boundary and we test it regularly for its quality. The water is good quality mineral water. We also capture rain water and have invested in putting up approximately 50,000 litres of rain water storage tanks. Bath water is captured and recycled for use in irrigation. Waste is disposed off responsibly. In keeping with our sustainable and responsible tourism philosophy, we request you to not carry any single use plastic bottles, bags, packets of chips etc.
Wild Fig Villa
Situated adjacent to the Quinta (the main building) this bungalow has three bedrooms, “north”, “central” and “south” and can accommodate one or three different families. Two of the bedrooms (north and south) are semi private duplex family rooms. The centre room has a living room on the ground floor and bedroom on the first floor. This villa has pine wood interiors. The wiring and switches are high quality Heritage collection. The Wild Fig Villa is equipped to accommodate up to 10 to 12 adults allowing families and friends to stay together. This villa has a lovely view of our gardens below and a great sweeping view of the South Gola Range.
In addition, the Wild Fig Villa has easy access to the Quinta, which houses the Victor lounge on the ground floor, the kitchen, Dining Room and Dining Terrace on the first floor and the yoga studio on the second floor.
Wild Fig North Room
This is a semi private duplex family room with a bedroom on the ground floor and a cozy attic bedroom on the first floor each with their own ensuite facilities (bath and toilet). As the name suggests, the North Room is on the northern part of the villa and so the name. The ground floor bath area has its own private dressing room as well. Ideal for a maximum of 4 persons. While the attic is completely wooden with the walls and floor made of Pine wood, the ground floor has a combination of wood and tile on the floor. The room is also equipped with heaters, study table, lamps, cosy chairs to sit and enjoy the view.
Wild Fig Central Suite
This is a suite with the living room on the ground floor and the bedroom with en suite facilities on the first floor. As the name suggests, the Centre Suite is in the centre of the villa. It has a beautiful living room with seating for upto 10 persons. The living room also has a divan which can double up as an extra bed. A wide, sturdy Pinewood staircase takes you to the first floor. The bedroom which has a Pinewood finish, also has a balcony with affords fabulous views. There is ample space for your personal belongings in the dressing area. It can accommodate two to maximum three persons (including a child below 12 years)
Wild Fig South Room
Similar to the Wild Fig North, the South Room also has a semi private duplex family room with a bedroom on the ground floor and a cozy attic bedroom on the first floor each with their own ensuite facilities (bath and toilet). As the name suggests, the South Room is on the southern part of the villa. The ground floor bath area has its own private dressing room as well. It is ideal for a maximum of 4 persons. Oak Cottage
Situated in the northern part of the estate and a short walk from the Quinta, the Oak cottage has a walkway flanked by Oak trees on both sides. Beyond the Oak Cottage is the orchard area. During the fruiting season from April to September, you can enjoy the fruit trees with its peach, plum, pear and apple trees. The cottage is private and ideal for young couples or families looking for complete privacy. Oak Cottage has a bedroom with a seating area and a living room with a kitchenette and also a nice covered sit out. The cottage can accommodate two adults. The third adult can be accommodated with an extra bed.
Pine Cottage
Located just one terrace below the Oak Cottage is the Pine cottage, a studio cottage which has a bedroom with a dressing room. An extra-large covered sit out overlooking the South Gola Range is an added advantage. A Pine tree goes through the roof of the Portico and therefore the name. A small garden in the front leads to the internal road leading to the Quinta. The cottage can accommodate two adults. The third adult can be accommodated with an extra bed.
Deodhar Cottage
Northern most part of the estate has a very private cottage, Deodhar cottage, flanked by the apple orchard on is western side. Beyond this cottage is the fields and village of Parvada. The fresh water source flows besides the Deodhar cottage. The cottage has a bedroom with a living room and a large balcony. On the ground floor is a covered sit out, kitchenette and pantry. The cottage can be accessed directly from the lower parking near the gazebo.
