A quaint village tucked into the sun-dappled slopes of the South Gola Ranges, Parvada sits at the edge of forested ridgelines and winding paths that lead to hand-built homes, old temples, and stories passed between neighbours. The air carries the scent of oak, cedar, and pine—crisp, grounding, and still. We’ve built slowly, letting the hillside guide us. More than an estate, Parvada is a place of shared mornings, laughter in kitchens, fruit gathered in baskets, and a quiet sense of belonging. Parvada Bungalows was thoughtfully designed to leave the smallest possible footprint on the land. Our cottages follow the natural contours of the hillside—preserving natural water culverts and constructing around existing trees rather than felling them. To enrich the native ecology, we have planted over 1,000 fruit trees and 200 evergreens across the estate, creating lush, maintained gardens that frame sweeping, unbroken vistas of the South Gola range.

At Parvada Bungalows, hospitality is not a profession—it’s a way of life, lovingly crafted by the co-founders, Sanjay and Vasudha Sondhi and the Parvada Bungalows team, who have been with the resort since its inception. Sanjay and Vasudha wear another hat; Outbound Marketing, a company specialised in handling outsourced sales and marketing services for International Hotels & National Tourism Boards. The 25 years of being in the exciting world of marketing travel and hospitality and with the experience of working with luxury hotels and unique eco systems, they have set up Parvada Bungalows with care, ensuring sustainable systems and authentic experiences. The team has been trained by Sanjay and Vasudha and are warm, attentive people who welcome you not just to a place, but to a way of being.
An Orchard Estate in the Kumaon Hills
Nestled at 7,000 feet in the South Gola Range near Mukteshwar, Parvada Bungalows is in a private orchard estate, “VS Fruit Tree Estate”, spread across over 3 acres. Deodhar Cottage
Studio Comfort with Views | 2–4 Guests
Nestled behind the Pine and Oak Cottages, the Deodhar Cottage is named after the Deodhar tree that stubbornly grew alongside the villa. All along the northern boundary going uphill, the founders have planted the Cedarwood or Deodhar trees. This cottage has 2 bedrooms one on each of its 2 floors. This is great for 2 couples wanting to stay together. This two-storey unit offers a living area below, a modern kitchenette and a bedroom with en suite facilities. The first floor has a largish entrance room (which also has a day bed) leading to the bedroom. A good-sized balcony allows 4 to 5 persons to sit together, enjoy the views or just each other’s company. Interiors feature warm pinewood panelling with views of the sweeping ridgelines beyond. Perfect for couples or families.
Since all three cottages are placed quite close to each other, it can also be taken for a large group of 10 persons (with extra beds) who want to be together and yet retain their privacy.
