FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
How was Parvada Bungalows designed with nature in mind?
Our estate was constructed following the natural terrain and contours of the mountain, intentionally avoiding natural water culverts and ensuring near-zero felling of existing trees. Additionally, we have reforested the property with over 1,000 fruit trees and 200 evergreens, cultivating vibrant gardens and maintained orchards.
Is Parvada Bungalows located in a crowded area or off the beaten track?
Parvada Bungalows is located in the quiet, undisturbed village of Parvada near Mukteshwar in district Nainital looking over the South Gola Range. Tucked away from commercial tourist hubs, our estate offers complete privacy, mountain vistas, pristine oak forests, and unhurried village surroundings.
Are there private walking trails or open space within the estate?
Yes. Parvada Bungalows is set within a sprawling orchard estate surrounded by fruit trees (apples, plums, peaches, and apricots). Guests can walk through private stone-paved paths, orchard trails, rest and enjoy views from the gazebos along the path and if you want to walk to te forest, it is a short walk away.
What kind of cuisine is served at Parvada Bungalows?
Our culinary offering blends authentic Kumaoni regional delicacies with Indian and international vegetarian dishes using seasonal herbs and organic produce from local farms and our orchard.
Do you accommodate special dietary preferences or pure vegetarian requirements?
Yes. We operate a pure vegetarian kitchen. Our chefs happily customize meals to accommodate special dietary needs, Jain food, Sattvic preparations, or specific international preferences upon request. We are also very good with border cuisines of Uttarakhand.
Where does the food in your kitchen come from?
We prioritize fresh, hyper-local ingredients. A significant portion of our vegetables, herbs, and fruits are grown and harvested directly from our and our village’s organic gardens and orchards, allowing us to serve fresh, seasonal, farm-to-table vegetarian meals daily.
What sustainable practices are implemented at Parvada Bungalows?
Sustainability is central to our philosophy. We practice water conservation utilizing natural spring water, enforce a strict single-use plastic reduction policy, support energy efficiency, and compost kitchen waste. Furthermore, we empower local women through Seakho Haat, a collective promoting local handicrafts and community economic growth. We collect plastic waste and once a month send it to a local waste management facility. We also organise village clean up drives to collect waste littered by locals or tourists.
What luxury amenities can guests expect at an eco-homestay?
We offer a refined blend of high-end comfort and mountain charm. Guests enjoy spacious pinewood-panelled suites, private verandahs with Himalayan views, cozy firelit gathering spaces, yoga and meditation facilities, and warm, personalized hospitality.
We have an extensive home library, and tailored multi-course Himalayan dining. Our terrace offers very comfortable lounge deck chairs for sun bathing or star gazing.
What are the rooms like, and what views do they offer?
Our rooms are intentionally minimalist yet offer classic old-world comfort and elegance. Every room features large windows and verandahs opening up to panoramic, evergreen vistas across the South Gola range and our private orchards.
How do we reach Parvada Bungalows from the nearest airport or railway station?
We are approximately 2 to 2.5 hours by road from Kathgodam Railway Station (~65 km) and Pantnagar Airport (~95 km). Transfers can easily be arranged upon request.
