Well where do I start from…
Located amidst the beautiful green Himalayan Shivalik hills, Parvada Bungalows is just two hours scenic drive from Kathgodam Railway station. While driving through the scenic serpentine roads, you experience how it is like breathing pure oxygen.
Finding a well trained staff in remote locations is always a challenge. But the staffs at Parvada Bungalows were so much at par with any city hotel staff and moreover always willing to learn more and adding the personal touch in whatever they did.
When it comes to fruits, there could be no better experience like plucking and picking exotic fruits like apples, plum, peaches, berries and what not, and eating them right at the spot.
Beautiful all wood built cottages takes a cue from the local architecture to make you feel connected with the hills and live the local culture.
A best place to experience star sightings, moon sightings, sun rise and sun set. It’s was a windy point, mostly cold and pleasant even in sun.
Bonfire was organised with snacks and drinks and we played antakshri. A good opportunity to try some team building activities as well.
A natural water source “Shrot” is in the estate which supplies most of the drinking water needs of the Bungalows. The water is rich in natural minerals and cent percent safe.
And what do I talk about the perfect hosts of these perfect Bungalows; Ms. Vasudha Sondhi, Mr. Sanjay Sondhi and Ms. Caron D’souza did thorough and smooth arrangements and scheduling of our trips. Right from our visit to the very famous Mukteshwar Temple (which is an hour drive from Bungalows) and local markets close by, to a local NGO Aarohan, to walks by the orchards and roads though the village or organising bonfire during the nights. They ensured everyone is having an experience of a lifetime.
Their fine and mature taste in luxury and hospitality made our stay luxurious, exotic and memorable. They had amazing tales to share about each corner of the cottages and each step of the stairways.
I would only wish luck and power to them and the entire team, so that more and more guests can come and experience this peaceful home in the nature’s purest form.
