Life in the Orchard
Parvada Bungalows began as the dream of Vasudha and Sanjay, who planted the first saplings and shaped spaces where nature and people could meet. Today, their friends Rina and Avijit Chaturvedi carry that vision forward—bringing warmth, deep hospitality experience, and a love for slow, thoughtful living. Life here follows the rhythm of the orchard. From April to September, apples, plums, peaches, and apricots bend the branches with colour and abundance—picked straight from the trees, savoured fresh at the table, or turned into preserves and desserts. Afternoons stretch into forest walks scented with cedar and oak, and evenings gather around fires, stories, and stars. At Parvada, time unfolds gently, offering a retreat where hospitality feels like home and every day carries the ease of the hills.
Sustainability at Heart
Sustainability at Parvada is less a practice and more a way of living. Only a fraction of the three-acre estate is built upon, while the rest remains orchard, native forest, and meandering trails. Construction followed the contours of the land; trees were preserved or transplanted; water is spring-sourced and used mindfully; and kitchen waste is composted to nourish the soil. Beyond the estate, Parvada thrives in partnership with its community. Seasonal menus keep food miles low, drawing on produce grown in nearby farms and fruit from our own orchard. Local women and farmers are part of the estate’s rhythm, whether in the kitchen, tending the gardens, or guiding guests into the village. Through Seekho Haat, the village’s community-led marketplace, guests are introduced to crafts, flavours, and produce that celebrate Kumaon’s heritage. Every meal, every walk, every small detail carries forward a quiet commitment: to live in harmony with the land and those who call it home.
