Parvada is a beautiful village situated in the “South Gola Range” of district Nainital, Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand is part of lower Himalayas. Parvada Bungalows is located at an altitude of 7000 ft (2135 mt) and at a distance of 10 km from Mukteshwar, 20 km from Ramgarh and 5 km from Kasia Lekh.Village Parvada is one of the unexplored gems situated near Mukteshwar. This village is blessed with a profusion of unspoilt greenery. Oak forests adorn the mountains, which loom large and erupt on our landscapes. The sublime majesty of forested hills and grasslands make this hill station all the more beautiful. Misty hills and thick jungles make for an everyday view from the property. The only sounds you can hear from the estate are the sounds of nature. The variety of flora and fauna and the sprawling panoramic landscape of the South Gola range that unfold before your eyes, from the estate, ushers within one a sense of utopia. Mukteshwar is one of the most famous weekend getaway hill stations near Delhi. The town gets its name from a 350-year-old temple of Shiva, known as Mukteshwar Dham, situated atop the highest point in the town, on the campus of the well renowned veterinary institute. Close to the institute lie the overhanging cliffs, locally known as Chauli-ki-Jali, a popular site for rock climbing and rappelling, with stupendous views of the valleys below. Mukteshwar has many interesting dining and shopping options which include an assortment of cafes, shops and resorts. We have planted over a 1000 fruit trees and another 100 evergreen local trees, oaks and deodar.  Many of our trees have started bearing fruit, allowing us and our guests to enjoy fresh organically grown fruits in the summer…straight up, orchard to table. Our fruit season is from end of April to August. Should you wish to pluck your own fruits, our gardener will happily assist you. We encourage you to pluck as many as you can eat. If not, our chef will create a dessert or relish to go with your meal. We request you not to pluck fruits without the assistance of our staff. We have several areas within the estate for you to sit and enjoy the pastoral countryside, basking in the sunlight decorating the silence descending upon the woods surrounding the retreat. As far as the eye can travel, there are no houses to block one’s vision, only a farming population and that too few people one can see. Rainbows are a common sight to behold, stretching out far over the horizon.

About Us

Sanjay and Vasudha have been in the tourism and hospitality business for over three decades. Residing in big cities, travelling all over the world and constantly living out of suitcases, the couple resolved to explore small off beat locations during their holidays.

They decided to explore various hill stations around Nainital and on one such trip; they stumbled upon Parvada, which has been declared an ideal village by the chief minister of Uttarakhand. For three years they made the village their weekend getaway. Hosting friends and family was an enjoyable pastime. From this was born the idea of converting the orchard into a boutique resort with a home like experience, , extending the warmth and friendliness, natural beauty and clean air to those desirous of taking a break off the beaten track, even sampling the places around Parvada: Mukteshwar, Jageshwar, Almora, Nainital and Ramgarh to name a few.

Although there are a lot of hotels in Mukteshwar, Vasudha and Sanjay, wanted to create a luxury experience for people who would want to be away from the centre of action in Mukteshwar, close enough yet quiet and pristine. The aim is “inaction” simply sit back and relax and enjoy the peace and quiet along with the stunning views of the hills. Our boutique resort is equipped to handle both long and short stay guests.

Our long standing team consists of our chef, steward, gardener and housekeeper. They are all residents of the local village extremely hospitable and take pride in performing their duties to the best of their abilities and can regale you with stories about their village.

The Design Team…

Sanjay and Vasudha’s concept and vision was translated into reality by Dodo (Somendra Gupta), a hobby designer who not only designed the project but also oversaw its progress based out of Parvada itself. The interiors of our bungalows engulf our guests in warm, clean and luxurious rooms incorporating maximum natural light, sun’s rays and beautiful views. Public spaces afford one the luxury of privacy or the chance to mingle with other guests on the estate. Construction tends to destroy the greenery, but we endeavoured to save as many trees as possible resulting in us being able to transplant 90% of the trees. We have tried to limit our construction to a bare minimum (only a fifth of the total acreage), leaving more land at our disposal for orchard, organic farming & walking trails on the estate grounds. In the coming years we plan that the walking trail will also allow you to “forest bathe”. For the spiritual and sacred well being, the estate has a small Ganesha temple. We are wheelchair friendly and are equipped to welcome the physically challenged as well.

Our contractor Hemu (Hargobind Pandey) was totally in sync with our vision and understood our need for consistent delivery and flexibility towards changes. We are grateful to all the team who worked tirelessly to deliver the final product.
